Gore Creek Lodge is owned by Meridith and Tim, our three year old daughter Ella and one-year-old identical twins Jack and Finley.
Living in a ski resort has always been a dream of ours, and in February 2010 we finally got the opportunity to make that dream come true. We wanted to live in Vail because of the world-class skiing and summer activities, and we bought Gore Creek Lodge because of its convenient and beautiful location. We wanted to build our dream home, so looked for a house that had a great location but which needed to be remodeled. Being keen skiers we wanted a home that was a short and easy walk from the Vail bus route, which follows the valley. Parking at the two main base areas is convenient, but it gets expensive if you live here. Getting the bus is much more convenient, and because it stops at all base areas it means that you can end the day at a different location to where you started.
We were lucky enough to be able to live in the house from February 2010 to May 2011. We then moved back down to Boulder to allow the construction work to start in June. Unfortunately, due to work constraints we need to stay in Boulder for now but we’ll be visiting Vail as much as we can! So, our dream home, Gore Creek Lodge is now available for you to share. It’s a our home, not just a vacation rental, and we hope the love that we have put into building it shows. When you stay at the lodge you are our personal guests and we hope you make as many happy memories there as we expect to.
