Fireplace, heating and guests!

It's been another week of milestones at Gore Creek Lodge. We are delighted to have received not just our first reservation, but our first three!

The construction crew have been thankful for unusually warm weather, and also the firing up of the furnace. After working through the winter I can only imagine how great that must feel! Other major developments include the completing of all interior and exterior stone work, including the fireplace.

This coming week the crew will be installing the beam and column in the Great Room, installing the hardwood flooring, grouting the tile, and installing countertops, light fixtures and railings. We're particularly looking forward to seeing the flooring and countertops installed, as then the Great Room will look nearly complete. Meanwhile Meri is working hard on choosing all the interior fixtures and fittings.
